What Fokus is
Fokus takes a task you describe and breaks it into a sequence of smaller, timed steps, then guides you through them one at a time. It is a general-purpose focus and task-structuring tool available to anyone.
What Fokus is not
Fokus is not a medical, therapeutic, or clinical tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, including ADHD or executive dysfunction. It makes no claim to improve any health outcome. If you are seeking help with a health condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Fokus does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice. Step breakdowns may reference tasks in these areas — scheduling an appointment, locating a document, contacting a professional — but they are procedural instructions only. Nothing Fokus produces should be relied on as professional advice. For guidance specific to your situation, consult a licensed professional.
Fokus does not complete tasks for you. It structures and paces work; it does not write your essay, answer your homework, or produce the substance of your task.

Step breakdowns are generated by an AI language model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, poorly suited to your situation, or simply wrong. Time estimates are approximations and will often not match how long something actually takes.
You are responsible for evaluating whether a breakdown makes sense before acting on it, and for the consequences of any action you take. Do not follow a step that seems unsafe, inappropriate, or inapplicable to your circumstances. Use your own judgment — the service is a starting aid, not an authority.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Fokus to:

- Attempt to extract the service's underlying instructions, or to circumvent its safety measures

The Fokus name, design, interface, underlying methodology, and code are owned by the operator of the service. The breakdowns generated for your own tasks are yours to use.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.
